Storage & standby
A sharp drop over a few idle days usually means the LinkPower 2 stayed in standby — controller, Bluetooth, and any enabled output still partially awake — not a full shutdown. A pack that is fully powered off normally loses only a few percent over the same stretch. PeakDo’s own guidance: shut the unit down completely when it will sit unused.
Full shutdown (storage mode)
Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. Shutdown is complete when the button no longer responds and the screen stays off. Do this after charging and before storing.
Wake
Plug in a USB-C PD charger, or hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the screen comes on.
Before multi-day idle
- DC output: a 2-second hold toggles it. If the LED is gently pulsing, the DC port is on and will drain the pack even with nothing useful connected — turn it off for storage.
- USB-C: unplug any cable or device. USB-C output can stay enabled and draw current.
- Heat: a warm vehicle or beach bag raises self-discharge. Store it cool and out of direct sun.
- Meter drift: the percentage can be slightly off until the pack sees a full charge-and-use cycle. After an update, PeakDo notes the display may need to recalibrate on its own.
Day-to-day use does not need a full shutdown. For multi-day idle, the 10-second shutdown is what stops this kind of loss.
