Description
A soft shackle is the piece that connects your kinetic rope to the truck. Two sizes, each matched to a Kinetic-X rope, and every recovery kit ships with two.
Spliced from UHMWPE, a fiber that holds its strength around a tight bend and doesn't stretch, so all the stretch stays in the kinetic rope. A protective sleeve covers the body, the knot is hand-spliced, and it won't rust, seize or sink. Rated above the steel D-ring it replaces, at a fraction of the weight, with no pin to drop in the mud and no steel to fly if something lets go.
Sizes and minimum break strength
- 7/16": 41,000 lb, pairs with the 3/4", 7/8" and 1" ropes
- 1/2": 58,000 lb, pairs with the 1.25" rope, or the 1" for extra margin
In the box: one soft shackle in a small green storage bag, plus two stickers.
Use it on recovery points with a smooth bearing surface: tow hooks, bumper tabs, D-ring mounts, a tree saver's eye. For a 2" receiver, an A-arm or a frame, the Hitch Hero is the same shackle with a guarded sleeve.
Every shackle is pull-tested to failure by an independent lab in California before we publish a rating. Lifetime warranty under proper use, within the published service life, which starts the day it's shipped.
