Why does the Deluxe Recovery Kit include both soft shackles and steel D-shackles?
Having both gives you more connection options. Soft shackles are lightweight and work well with compatible rated recovery points, straps, and synthetic recovery equipment, while the steel D-shackles provide a traditional hard connection option when the recovery setup calls for it.
What is the 2” Hitch Receiver used for?
The included hitch receiver provides a dedicated rear recovery connection for vehicles equipped with a compatible 2” receiver hitch. It gives you another useful attachment option for towing and recovery situations instead of relying on an unsuitable attachment point underneath the vehicle.
Does the Deluxe Recovery Kit include a kinetic recovery rope?
No. The Deluxe Recovery Kit is designed around controlled towing and general recovery rather than kinetic recovery. It uses a 3” × 20’ flat tow strap along with soft shackles, steel D-shackles, and a hitch receiver for a simple and versatile recovery setup.
